How To Solo With Pentatonic Scales
The F Major Scale has 1 flat. If your like most people, you might find it harder to think in terms of flats vs.sharps. I don't know why that is, but it seems to be a fairly common phenomenon. But, everything you've learned so far still applies to this key. Below are the degrees, letters and pattern of whole steps and half-steps needed as explained in the Guitar Scales lesson.
EXAMPLE:

You'll notice by following the example above that we need a half-step between the 3rd and 4th degree (A to B). In order to achieve this we must lower B natural one half-step. This gives us Bb.

LESSON OBJECTIVE:
To memorize the notes for the F Major Scale in first position on the guitar. PLAY IT AND SAY IT!
PRACTICE:
1. Practice playing the scale forward and backward.
2. Incorporate it into your warm-up session.
3. Remember to use the correct finger on each fret!
