The B Major Scale
The B Major Scale has 5 sharps. Below are the degrees, letters and pattern of whole steps and half-steps needed as explained in the Guitar Scales lesson.
EXAMPLE:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
B C D E F G A B
w w h w w w h
Remember to retain the sharps from the previous scale which in this case are C#, D#, F# and G#. The new sharp will always come in at the 7th degree giving us
A# for this key. So, our 5 sharps are: C#, D#, F#, G# and A#.
B MAJOR = B C# D# E F# G# A# B
